Carry This is a personal and intimate translation of grief into painting and collage. The works in this exhibition were created in response to the devastating loss of Vukovljak's young son. The exhibition reminds us that grief cannot be solved, but it can be shaped, and in doing so, hope and progress can be made.

The works in this exhibition were created while Vukovljak was a graduate-in-residence in both the Painting and Printmedia & Drawing Workshops the ANU School of Art & Design.

Daniel Vukovljak is a Canberra-based visual artist working mainly in paint and collage. His intuitive practice explores ways of looking at conventional thought processes, and draws inspiration from sources such as the old masters, comic books and the abstract expressionists. Vukovljak's work explores themes such as the hero quest, escape, humour, technology and grief. He is a graduate of the ANU School of Art & Design, and his work is in public and private collections across Australia and the UK.
