Australian and New Zealand Studies Association of North America (ANZSANA)
28th Annual Conference
15-19 February, 2021
The Australian and New Zealand Studies Association of North America invites scholars, graduate students*, professionals, writers, and artists to submit papers and roundtable discussions to our 28th annual conference, which, for the first time in the history of ANZSANA, will be held online due to the ongoing global pandemic of COVID-19.
In order to facilitate participation from scholars around the world, we have extended the length of the conference to span an entire week. The additional days will enable us to schedule sessions in ways that accommodate the various time zones in which participants find themselves.
ANZSANA welcomes proposals on any aspect of Australian or New Zealand studies as well as comparative studies involving Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Since its founding in 1989, ANZSANA has promoted interdisciplinary research and we continue to encourage proposals that bridge traditional divides between disciplines and employ diverse approaches, such as:
- Political Science and International Relations
- Public Health
- History, Sociology, and Anthropology
- Gender Studies
- Indigenous Studies
- Business and Economics
- Visual and Performing Arts
- Communication and Culture
- Ecology and Environmental Sciences
Deadline for submission of proposals is 1 November 2020
Notices of acceptance will be sent no later than 18 November 2020
The registration fee is $25 for graduate students and $50 for academics, professionals, and independent researchers. These fees cover ANZSANA membership dues.
*ANZSANA encourages graduate students to submit their papers to be considered for the annual John Higley Prize for the best paper presented by a graduate student.
