Join us for a panel discussion of career journeys, career advice, and best ways to prepare for the job market. The panel includes linguistics graduates who are currently working in different fields, drawing on the knowledge and skills that they obtained during their degree.
Speakers
Kyla Quinn: Data and Analytic Services technical director at the Australian Signals Directorate.
Lauren Reed: Director of the Centre for Australian Languages at the Australian Institute for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies.
Bronwyn Wood: speech pathologist at Northside Speech.
The panel discussion will be followed by Q&A and an informal networking lunch with pizza, supported by the ANU Languages and Linguistics Society.
This session is part of the ‘Pathways in Linguistics’ series this semester. These sessions are open to all students taking, or thinking about taking, courses in Linguistics. If you are interested in knowing more about possible future directions for work or study, and connections between your skills and knowledge and a range of career paths, come along to learn more and have any questions answered.
