ANU and Chamber come together on music

ANU and Chamber come together on music
Friday 18 May 2012

On 18 May 2012, the University announced that discussions are underway to build a consortium to help put the ANU School of Music, and music more generally in the ACT, on a financially sustainable footing.

The University will be working with the ACT and Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry to form the consortium. The Chamber’s Chief Executive, Dr Chris Peters, is a passionate advocate for arts funding in the region. Vice-Chancellor is confident that with his support, and the support of the Canberra community, the consortium can go a long way towards securing the School’s future.

This is an exciting development, and one Professor Young hopes the ANU community, and the ACT community, will join him in welcoming.
