ANU Orchestra Concerto Gala

The ANU School of Music looks forward to presenting the ANU Orchestra Concerto Gala, featuring works by Shostakovich, Bruch, Reinecke, Weber, and Goossens, and student and alumnus soloists James Monro, Brad Tham, Emma Claire (Warburton), Milan Kolundzija, and Zoë Loxley Slump.

The evening will include a bar, and post-concert music presented by the Tiny Jazz Collective! The Tiny Jazz Collective will also perform at the Jazz & Contemporary Instrumental Lunchtime Concert on Thursday 20 October 12-1pm in the Big Band Room - get your free tickets here.

The Tiny Jazz Collective (TJC) is a modern jazz quartet featuring Canberra’s finest musicians Liv Uebergang on guitar, Mereki Leten on saxophone, Michael Larsen-Collins on bass and Daniel Simmons on drums. All these performers are also ANU School of Music students! The TJC combines the diverse musical backgrounds of all members, with over a decade of combined gigging experience, having played at local venues such as Hippo Co, Gang Gang Cafe, Molly’s bar and the Greens at Kambri. While a relatively new group, the TJC come together as a quartet to bring to you some of their favourite repertoire and originals.
