Jack Banfield
Hailing from the distant lands of Western Australia, Jack started learning music at a young age through an early learning music program, before picking up classical guitar and later bagpipes. After deciding performance was too stressful, he switched to a practice he can edit in the morning and now borrows from these eclectic Spanish, folk, and Western art music roots to spice up his compositions.
Grace Blomfield
Grace’s passion for her two degrees – astrophysics and game composition – can be traced back to a very pivotal moment in her childhood: playing the gaming masterpiece that is Super Mario Galaxy. Growing up, she learnt piano and performed in choirs, before first trying her hand at composition in 2017. Though her instrumentation and style is often eclectic, her work is united by deep love for musical storytelling.
Lachlan Moulds
Coming from Centeral Queensland, Lachlan started music at a young age. They picked up a few instruments before starting to write music in 2017. His accomplishments in composing include writing for a wide variety of musics across a vast array of ensembles with a focus on choral works and works for media.
Rebecca Hilliard
Rebecca is currently in her 4th year at ANU, studying both Music and Science. She attended Newtown High School of the Performing Arts until 2018. She also grew up singing in Sydney Children’s Choir and Gondwana Choirs where she developed a passion for music, which she now teaches and composes. Looking forward, Rebecca is looking forward to continue composing and teaching in both music and science.
Siena Mitchell
Siena, aged 21, is a passionate composer, scientist, parent to two cats, and porridge eater. While their composed pieces have only gotten more…contemporary…their love of harmony has remained unchanged.
