The Centre for Heritage and Museum Studies at ANU is delighted to invite you to a seminar with Professor Mathew Trinca AM FAHA to relaunch its monthly seminar series.
Prof. Trinca will discuss the opportunity of connecting Australia’s visual, literary and performing arts with the GLAM sector and place-based heritage through the forthcoming second National Cultural Policy. He suggests bringing these policy and administrative areas of the Federal Government together to nourish the cultural ecosystems of our cities, towns and regions and pump-prime the nation’s creative economy.
Prof. Trinca is head of the Centre for Heritage and Museum Studies and the former director of the National Museum of Australia. He chairs the ACT’s Cultural Facilities Corporation, is a Commissioner for Culture and Olympic Heritage advising the IOC and sits on several performing arts and museum boards.
The Centre’s monthly seminar series will be held on the last Wednesday of each month.
