Please join us for the launch of a new permanent public artwork at ANU. A History of Student Activism at the Australian National University traces sixty years of student activism at ANU, beginning in 1960 when the University first began to accept undergraduate students and running until 2020 when the installation was created.

Featuring artworks by ANU School of Art & Design Alumni Esther Carlin, Aidan Hartshorn and Joanne Leong with research by Emma Cupitt, Vanamali Hermans and Mia Stone.

Hear from Project Curator, Dr Alex Martinis Roe, former Students’ Association President and student activist founder of Women’s Studies at ANU, Liz O’Brien, and current ANUSA President Madhumitha (Madhu) Janagaraja.

Discussion will be followed by drinks and an opportunity to view the artwork.
