Dante Costa (flute) and Jojo Yuen (piano), students from the ANU School of Music, recently showcased their talents at The Llewellyn Choir’s festive concert, Krismas! Peace to the World, held at Holy Cross Anglican Church, Hackett.

As winners of the 2024 Llewellyn Choir and Margaret Smiles Prizes in the Whitworth Roach Competition, Costa and Yuen earned the opportunity to perform in this vibrant celebration of international Christmas music. Their standout performances included Dvořák’s Sonatina for Flute and Piano and Berlioz’s Trio for Two Flutes and a Harp, which were warmly received by the audience.

The Llewellyn Choir also invited Costa along to participate in an interview to discuss the concert with Georgia Stynes on ABC Radio, further emphasising the importance of this recognition for emerging musicians.

Opportunities like these underscore ANU’s dedication to supporting the artistic growth of its students and celebrating their success on prominent platforms with the generous support of our community partners.
