ANU Orchestra Tour
Friday 23 September 2022

In the first week of September, the ANU Orchestra embarked on a tour for the first time in over 10 years, presenting workshops and concerts at a number of schools! They also gave a free end-of-tour concert in Gunning Shire Hall at 3pm on Thursday 8 September.

Congratulations to final year student Zoë Loxley Slump, principal oboist and manager of the ANU Orchestra, for organising and leading the highly successful tour of regional western New South Wales. And thank you to all the ANU Orchestra members and tutors for their hard work and community spirit. This tour would also not have been possible without the generosity of Ms Christine Roach.

The ANU Orchestra will next perform at a special end-of-semester Concerto Gala on Thursday 20 October in Llewellyn Hall featuring works by Shostakovich, Bruch, Reinecke, Weber, and Goossens, and School of Music student and alumnus soloists James Monro (cello), Brad Tham (violin), Emma Warburton (flute), Milan Kolundzija (clarinet), and Zoë Loxley Slump (oboe).
