In a recent rendition of Bach's St John Passion, performed by the Canberra Bach Ensemble, current and former ANU School of Music students and staff showcased their exceptional talent alongside seasoned professionals, leaving the audience enraptured with a mesmerizing performance.

Led by director Andrew Koll, the choir delivered spirited melodies, while former Tallis Scholar Richard Butler's tenor voice captivated with its beauty and clarity, anchoring the production as St John the Evangelist.

Under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Sally Walker, Jennifer Brian (PhD) and Dante Costa (BMus) distinguished themselves with their exceptional skill on the transverse flutes, adding depth and richness to the orchestral accompaniment. ANU School of Music student Gabriel Frømyhr and Brad Tham also contributed to the ensemble's overall brilliance with their skilful performance.

This opportunity highlights the ANU School of Music's commitment to nurturing emerging talent, as well as the school's dedication to providing a supportive and enriching environment for its students to flourish and excel in their musical pursuits.
