Friends of the ANU School of Music Historical Instruments Concert

Dr Mike Lee

Presented by the Friends of the ANU School of Music

Mike Cheng-Yu Lee, lecturer at the ANU School of Music and Director of the ANU Keyboard Institute, will perform an all-Beethoven programme on a copy of an early 1800s piano built in the Viennese tradition by Paul McNulty (2018).

All proceeds will be used to provide students at the ANU School of Music with further opportunities in performance, recording and additional musical training through grants and prizes.

PROGRAM

Sonata in C minor, Op. 13, “Grande Sonate Pathétique” (1798)
Sonata in G major, Op. 14 No. 2 (1798-99)
Sonata in C-sharp minor, Op. 27 No. 2, “Sonata quasi una Fantasia” (1801)
