Rachel Scott, ANU School of Music Alumna and cellist presents Bach in the Dark with David Pereira

Bach in the Dark: Be in the Moment
Cellists Rachel Scott & David Pereira

ANU School of Music Alumna, Rachel Scott will be joined by former teacher and dear friend (and cello great), David Pereira presenting Bach in the Dark.

Bach in the Dark is a time when you can be ‘in the moment’ with the performers. It’s a time when you can forget about the phone bill, or the shopping, or the dire state of Australian politics and simply listen.

This concert will run for just over an hour. It will be informal with each piece introduced, so there’s no need to look at a program. There is no dress code, no rule about when to clap, no rule about how you are meant to ‘be’ as you are listening..

The venue will be dark, the players will be fabulous!

This will be a night of great musical conversation. A critic once said that Rachel and David’s playing “has the feel of a celebration, of untempered, free and loose-limbed music-making, where lines are shaped by boldness…”

The program for this concert will include works by J.S. Bach, re-imagining of Bach by David Pereira and some musical surprises.

Buy your tickets for this intimate concert via the 'Register now' button in this event listing. Adult $25, Concession $15, Student $10, School of Music student/staff free.
