2024 Alice Tay Lecture: Panel on Human Rights and the NDIS

The 2024 Alice Tay Lecture on Law and Human Rights will be taking place Thursday 23rd May. This year we are hosting a panel discussion considering the NDIS and its intersection with human rights. The discussion will be facilitated by Dr Melissa Lovell (Australian National University). Our panelists include Australian Disability Commissioner Ms. Rosemary Kayess (Australian Human Rights Commission) by video link, and Dr. Laura Davy and Ms. Molly Saunders both from the Crawford School of Public Policy at ANU.

Since 2005, the Alice Tay lecture has been held in honour of Professor Alice Tay, former Board member of the Freilich Project and President of the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission (HREOC). The lecture series continues to explore human rights and their intersection with bigotry and is held annually at ANU.

Time: 5:30pm for a 5:45pm start.
Date: Thursday 23rd May
Location: Auditorium, RSSS Building, ANU.

Please email us if you require an Auslan interpreter or have other accessibility requirements.

Everyone is welcome to join us for refreshments in the RSSS Foyer at 6.45pm.
