Join Alexander Rosenberg for a fascinating lecture and demonstration of his interdisciplinary practice in glass. Rosenberg, the ANU School of Art and Design's 2023 Procter Fellow, is an international award-winning artist who is widely known as a finalist on the reality series Blown Away.

Starting in the ANU School of Art & Design Gallery, Rosenberg will deliver an artist talk about his wide-ranging practice, including his recent project A Climber’s Guide to Eastern State Penitentiary (2019), a site-specific installation, performance and guidebook. This is followed by a hot glass demonstration in the ANU Glass Workshop.

Alexander Rosenberg is the recipient of the 2023 Christine and Stephen Procter Fellowship. He is an international award-winning artist who is also widely known as a finalist on the Netflix reality show Blown Away.

During his residency he is focusing on glass as a technological tool, its historic role in sustaining human life, and creating new applications for the material addressing our uncertain ecological future. In his first visit to Australia, he is glassblowing, crafting and learning on Country, supported by the ANU Glass Workshop and the ANU Environment Studio.
